The developer told how the Tekken 8 fighting wiping will use the PlayStation 5 power

At the beginning of the next, Tekken 8 will take place, which will be a direct continuation of the famous Tekken Faiting series from Bandai Namco. The new game for the first time for the series will use the Unreal Engine 5 graphic engine and compared to Tekken 7 will be a completely new visual component. In many ways, such an innovation became possible thanks to the consoles of a new generation. The keyword developer in a recent interview told how Tekken 8 will use their capabilities, in particular the PlayStation 5 console.

Director of Tekken 8 Kohei Ikeed notes that completely new models of high resolution characters have been created in Tekken 8. The new game engine and the power of modern consoles allowed the developers to convey such small parts as drops of water flowing along the skin and barely noticeable hair movements, as well as muscle contraction.

The Bandai Namco team sought to recreate all the subtleties of the human body, including sweat and muscle structure. PlayStation 5 performance allowed the developers to realize the natural behavior of the body of the characters and even create a detailed bone skeleton, which is used to move all characters. Visually, this may not be very noticeable, but it was thanks to such an accurate system to the game that it became possible to add the display of blood vessels, tension in the muscles and redness of the skin areas from blows. All this is displayed in real time and reacts to what is happening during the battle, where other visual effects are also displayed.

These effects make it possible to achieve greater realism and immersion in the gameplay. Advanced visual effects are achieved due to the smooth frequency of 60 frames per second, which fully uses the computing power of the GPU PS5.

In addition, the playing will use the proprietary tactile recoil of the PlayStation 5 and 3D-sound controller controller. According to Iked, all KAT scenes in the plot mode of the game are made in the form of 7.1.4ch, which allows you to dynamically bind the sound and frames on the screen, which displays sound transmission to a new level.

Tekken 8 will take place on January 26, 2024 on a PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S | X.
